Fortunato Lopez, Sr.

Fortunato S. Lopez of La Pryor passed away on November 19, 2014 at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, at the age 85. He was born on April 23, 1929 in Mexico to Pedro and Ambrosia Sanchez Lopez. He is survived by his daughters Elena Lopez of La Pryor, Elvia Flores and husband Roberto of Portland and Virginia Enriquez and husband Vance of California sons, Nato Lopez of La Pryor, Ricardo Lopez and wife Patricia Paredes of Laredo and Albert Lopez and wife Kari of Knoxville, Tennessee sisters, Esperanza Del Herro of San Antonio and Amelia Botello of Laredo brother, Rogelio Lopez of San Antonio thirteen grandchildren three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Julia G. Lopez four brothers, Pedro, Manuel, Antonio and Rafael Lopez. A rosary will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2014 and Friday, November 21, 2014 at 7:00 pm at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Josephs Catholic Church in La Pryor. Burial will follow at La Pryor Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jesse Lopez, Edgar Lopez, Nato Lopez, Ricky Lopez, Roberto Flores and Gabriel Garcia
