Francisca Jaramillo Gonzales, 83, of Uvalde, Texas died peacefully at 7:25 am, December 6, 2017, at her children's home surrounded by her family.
Born March 10, 1934 to Hipolito Jaramillo and Ildifonsa Jaramillo Coronado in San Alberto, Coah, Mexico.
Her integrity and work ethics began when as a young child she was forced to leave school in the 3rd grade to help work with her father. She learned very early on in life hard work and honesty. It is that which brought her to America to work and help care for her growing family back in Mexico. After working for many years in west Texas, she relocated to Uvalde with her sister and began working as a nanny for the Santos family along with also working with the Santos family in the Santos Drug Store for many years. It is there where she met her husband, Jose Luciano Gonzales. They fell in love and were married on January 26, 1964 in Sabinas, Coah, Mexico.
A devoted mother and wife; she was a dedicated member of Sacred Heart Church, La Vela Perpetua and longtime volunteer of Sacred Heart School. Her volunteer work with in her church dates back to the 1960's where she often volunteered her time into beautifying both the catholic school and church. Among the many services she provided, her family recalls their mother's hard work in planting grass for the school, PTO involvements, BINGO volunteer, the annual church festival where she worked countless hours and days selling tickets, all on foot. Her passion was her grandchildren; she enjoyed attending football games, baseball games and every school event her health permitted her to attend. Her love for her husband, her family, her church and her plants will forever be remembered.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years along with three sons, Antonio J. Gonzales and wife Paula, Jacinto J. Gonzales, Rogelio J. Gonzales and wife Isela, daughter, Marcela G. Cabralez and husband Jaime all of Uvalde and daughters Morima Navarro and husband Ezekiel of Mansfield, Texas and Stephanie Hernandez and husband Gaspar of Brownsville, Texas.
Also surviving her are 7 sisters and 3 brothers: Fidencio and Alfonso Jaramillo, Maria Elena Garcia, Juana Perez and Christina Zamarron all of Dallas, Texas, Hipolito Jaramillo and Ernestina Arista all of San Antonio, Texas, Ignacia Jaramillo Ortiz, Aurora Jaramillo De Leon and Virginia Jaramillo Sanchez all of Sabinas, Coahuila, Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Camilio and Federico Jaramillo and two great grandchildren, Joseph Ybarra and Sam Munoz.
Her love and good heart will continue in the generations she left behind: 11 Grandchildren, Danika G. Velasquez and husband O.Z., Serena N. Martinez and husband Chris, Jazzel Ramirez and husband Jerry, Pete V. Ybarra, Jr., Brianna G. Ybarra, Jose Daniel Gonzales, Christian Gonzales and Andres Luciano Gonzales all of Uvalde, Texas. Samantha F. Munoz and husband Samuel of San Antonio, Texas and Royce Joe Gonzales and Arron Gonzales of Camp Wood, Texas. 23 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers include: Pete V. Ybarra, Jr., Royce Joe Gonzales, Jose Daniel Gonzales, Arron Ray Gonzales, Christian Lee Gonzales and Andres Luciano Gonzales.
Honorary Pallbearers are: Zak-Anthony Velasquez, Josiah Cabralez, Adam Martinez, Jerry Ramirez, Elijah Gonzales, Christopher Martinez, Nathan Hernandez
A rosary will be held on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. and Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
