Francisca Martinez

Francisca G. Martinez of Uvalde passed away on November 15, 2013 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 89. She was born September 12, 1924 in Knippa to Jose Miguel and Victoria Oliver Gonzales. She married Felipe S. Martinez on November 9, 1941 in Uvalde. She is survived by daughters Rosario Hernandez and husband Juan of Uvalde Maggie Rodriguez and husband Fito of Knippa Rita Ramos and husband Carlos of Uvalde and Marta Gallegos of Uvalde sons Jesse G. Martinez and wife Lynda of Uvalde Ricardo Martinez and wife Rosalinda of Uvalde Enrique Martinez and wife Dora of Knippa Felipe G. Martinez Jr. and wife Isabel of Uvalde and Cipriano Martinez and Cynthia of Uvalde sisters Magdalena Canales and Lucia Ybarra sisterinlaw Dolores Gonzales of Austin 27 grandchildren, 44 greatgrandchildren, 12 great greatgrandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Felipe S. Martinez, parents, sister, Leonor Cuellar, brother Medardo Gonzales, soninlaw Jordan Conrad Gallegos Sr. and great grandson Marco Marquez Jr. A rosary will be held on Saturday and a vigil on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, November 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a committal service at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her children Rosario Hernandez, Maggie Rodriguez, Rita Ramos, Marta Gallegos, Jesse G. Martinez, Ricardo Martinez, Enrique Martinez, Felipe Martinez Jr. and Cipriano Martinez. Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren.
