Francisco G. Frank Alegria III of Uvalde passed away on June 2, 2012 in a San Antonio hospital at the age of 44. He was born on June 28, 1967 in Uvalde to Francisco H. and Julia Garza Alegria. He began his career in law enforcement as a Real Co. Deputy Constable, working under Elton Baxter. His career spanned 18 years, working for the Shavano Park Police Dept Dilley Police Dept Sabinal Police Dept Crystal City Police Dept and Zavala Co. Sheriffs Dept. He married Lisa Fernandez in Uvalde on July 15, 2000. He is survived by his wife of 11 years parents, Frank H. and Julie Alegria of Uvalde two sons, Christopher Ryan Alegria and Zachary Bryan Alegria, both of Uvalde two sisters, Antonia Portillo and husband, Asael, Jr. of San Antonio and Frankie Marie Belman and husband, Moses of San Diego, CA aunt, Maria Ilda Gonzales and husband, Martin of Laredo nieces, Jasmine Alexandra Belman and Adonia Portillo nephew, Asael Portillo III cousins, Monica Gonzales and Maricela G. Garza and husband, Phil and numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins in Uvalde and Austin, TX. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Francisco F. and Juanita Hernandez Alegria. A rosary will be held on Monday and Tuesday night at 7:00 PM at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial following in Uvalde Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Willie Quirova Lupe Mireles Janice Mireles Silvia Goofy Robles Anthony Quirova and Asael Portillo, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Barbara Fear, Willie Quirova Jr. and Adam Michael Mireles.
