Francisco Aviles

Francisco Gutierrez Aviles of Uvalde passed away on March 14, 2009 in his residence at the age of 80. He was born on March 9, 1929 in San Antonio, Texas to Julian and Maria Aviles. He married Julia Fuentez in Uvalde, Texas. He is survived by his wife Julia Aviles of Uvalde, Texas; three daughters; Maricela Rivera of Laredo, Texas; Linda Sandoval of Uvalde, Texas; and Elizabeth Garcia of Long Beach, California; two sons; Francisco Aviles Jr. of Abilene, Texas; and Filberto Flores of Post, Texas; one sister; Elvira Ovalle of South Bend, Indiana; four brothers; Rogelio, Silvestre, Alfonso and Elias Aviles all of Uvalde, Texas; twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons; Rodolfo Aviles and Alvino Aviles; four sisters; Consuelo Hernandez, Rosa Lopez, Rebecca Vargas, and Mary Lou Hernandez; two brothers; Ruben Aviles and Jesse Aviles. A rosary will be held on Monday and Tuesday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Uvalde Catholic Cemetery.
