Francisco Hita

Francisco J. Hita of Uvalde passed away on July 29, 2015 at his residence at the age of 87. He was born on January 8, 1928 in St. Ignacio Durango, Mexico to Alfonso and Antonia (Castro) Hita. He married Petra Reyes in Uvalde on July 15, 1959. He is survived by daughters; Irene Richards and Ida Sierra of Uvalde, Carolyn Mae Cardenas and husband Richard of San Antonio; sisters, Esperanza Hita Esparza of Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico and Maria Felicitas Hita Castro Barreto of Torreon, Mexico; brother, Valente Hita Castro of Gomez, Durango, Mexico; seven grand children and eighteen great-grand children; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents; wife, Petra R. Hita; son Joe Hita, brother Elias Castro Hita; sisters, Ernestina Hita Castro, Maria Victoria Hita Castro, Amelia Hita Castro, Margarita Hita Castro and Maria Felicitas Hita Castro,. A rosary will be held on Friday July 31, 2015, Saturday August 1, 2015 and Sunday August 2, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Monday August 3, 2015 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jesse Sandoval Jr., Marco Cahue, Randy Cardenas, Jamie Cardenas, Johnnie Reyes and Eric Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be Frankie Reyes
