Francisco Marines, Ii

Francisco D. Marines, II of Uvalde, passed away surrounded by family on May 27, 2022 at his residence at the age of 72.  He was born on November 4, 1949 in San Ramon, Coahuila, Mexico to Francisco Marines, Sr. and Dominga Duran.

He married Irma Garza in Piedras Negras, Mexico on September 20, 1970.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years of Uvalde; daughter, Maribel Rodriguez and husband, Juan Luis of Uvalde; sons, Rafael Marines and wife, Norma and Francisco Marines, III and wife, Dora all of Uvalde; sisters, Albesa M. Hernandez of Uvalde, Hilda M. Valdez of Eagle Pass and Olga M. Diaz of Uvalde; grandchildren, Rafael M. Marines, Jr., Orlando Marines,  Juan Luis Rodriguez, Jr., Erika Marie Arenas, Adam Javier Rodriguez, and Francisco Marines, IV; great grandchildren, Adrianna Marines, Rafael Marines, III, Orlando Marines, Jr., and Elianna Marie Arenas.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Olivia M. Alvarado, Otila M. Perez, Dominga Marines, and Edelmira Escamilla; and brother, Ovidio Marines.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 5:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Knippa.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Rafael Marines, Jr., Orlando Marines, Juan Luis Rodriguez, Jr., Francisco Marines, IV, Adam Javier, and Higino Arenas.
