Francisco Roman

Francisco C. Roman of Uvalde passed away on May 12, 2015 at Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 91. He was born on August 23, 1923 in Uvalde to Serafin and Rosa (Cruz) Roman. He married Maria Ortiz in La Pryor on March 15, 1944. He is survived by daughters; Carmen Zamarripa and husband Tony and Rosie Roman of Uvalde; sons, Arturo Roman and wife Lourdes of Uvalde; Frank Roman and wife Jolanda, Carlos Roman and wife Mary and Oscar Roman and wife Rosa all of Odessa; Jimmy Roman and wife Bertha of Uvalde; sister, Santos Martinez of Uvalde; brother, Emilio Roman of Kerrville; Twenty grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Maria O. Roman; parents; son, Jesse Roman; grandson, Frank Roman III; brothers, Serafin "Tino" C. Roman, Heraclio C. Roman and George C. Roman; sister, Herlinda Salazar. A rosary will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 7:00 pm and on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jesse Zamarripa, Tony Zamarripa, Arnold Verdusco, Roman Verdusco, Paul Roman, Jason Roman, Oscar Roman Jr. and Ray Anthony Roman.
