Frank Hobart

Frank Lewis Hobart of Sabinal passed away on June 28, 2009 in the Medina Community Hospital in Hondo at the age of 88. He was born on June 3, 1921 in Anderson County, Kansas to Glenn Lewis and Minnie Huffmeier Hobart. He married Mary Ann Arnim in Sabinal on June 7, 1974. He is survived by his wife of 35 years; stepson, David Bailey of Sabinal and his children, Jim Bailey of Sabinal; Mary Catherine Bailey of Austin; and Lori Sheedy and husband, Tolan of Sabinal and their children, Charlie, Jamie, and Katie of Sabinal; daughter-in-law, Susan Bailey of Sabinal and her children, Holly Boyle and husband, Duane of Castroville; and Heath Bailey and wife, Starr and their daughter, Braelyn of Corpus Christi; two sisters, Rosalie Kent of Garnett, Kansas and Shirley Kruell and husband, Lloyd of Kansas City, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepson, Bill Bailey; two brothers, Byron and Floyd Hobart; and a sister, Inezbelle Miner. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Sabinal with burial to follow in Sabinal Cemetery. Rev. Don Snyder will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Bailey, Heath Bailey, Tolan Sheedy, Duane Boyle, Daniel Rodriguez, Manuel Rodriguez, and Ray Martinez. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Sabinal EMS P.O. Box 104; Sabinal, Texas 78881.
