Fred Payne

Fred Payne of Uvalde passed away on September 9, 2013 at his residence at the age of 83. He was born on September 12, 1929 in El Nacimiento Musquiz, Coahuila Mexico to Myrtes Flores and John Payne. He married Dora Lopez in Uvalde on January 13, 1990. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, daughters Valerie Payne, Brenda Gonzales, Sandy Gonzales and Molly Flores and husband, Mario all of Uvalde, Diana Carrillo and husband Isaias of Universal City, Pauline Ward of San Angelo, Minnie Doctor of Cleveland, Ohio, Nellie Payne of Amarillo, and Mary Mile of Florida, sons Alex Gonzales and wife Ester of California, Nelson Payne of Arizona, Johnny Payne of New Jersey, Oscar Payne and wife Josefa, and Albert Payne and wife Mary both of Brackettville, sisters Beatrice Moszee of San Antonio and Genevieve Benson of Kerrville, brother John Payne of Uvalde thirtythree grandchildren, thirty eight great grandchildren, and one greatgreat grandchild. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Jessica De Leon, two sisters, Lorraine Williams and Minnie Smith, and three brothers Bob Payne, Oliver Payne and Tom Payne. Funeral services will be held at RushingEstesKnowles Chapel on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers wil be Alfred Gonzales, Isaias Carrillo, Jr., Mario Flores, Isaias Carrillo, Kassandra Gonzalez and Summer Flores.
