Fred Sweeten of Uvalde passed away on February 25, 2012 at his residence at the age of 89. He was born on March 12, 1922 in Eden, Texas to Robert and Dena Manor Sweeten. He is survived by his niece Jan Hayes of Uvalde and preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and 2 brothers. Graveside services will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio at 2:00 p.m. on March 7, 2012.
