Gabriel L. Diaz Jr. of Uvalde passed away on September 30, 2011 at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 65. He was born on August 10, 1946 in Uvalde to Gabriel and Sarita Lara Diaz Sr. He is survived by his son Gabriel Diaz III of Austin, sister, Irene Duran of Uvalde, brothers, Baltazar Diaz of Louisiana, Enrique Diaz of Lubbock, Jose Diaz of Uvalde and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Guadalupe Diaz, Role Diaz, Raul Diaz and Juan Diaz. Graveside services will be held on Saturday October 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery. Cremation under the direction of RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary.
