Gabriel Perez

Gabriel Cruz Perez of Uvalde passed away on July 17, 2015 in San Antonio at the age of 47. He was born on June 14, 1968 in Uvalde to Gabriel and Frances (Cruz) Perez. He married Dora Elia Flores in Florida on April 21, 1994. He is survived by his wife; parents; sons, Gabriel Perez IV, Joseph Perez and Alec Perez all of Uvalde; sister, Jennifer Perez and husband Celestino Quintana Jr.; niece, Angelica Rodriguez all of Gardendale; aunts, Mary Elsie Cruz of Uvalde and Maria Cruz of Lovespark, Illinois; uncles, Mario H. Cruz, Enrique Perez both of Uvalde, Andres Perez of Sabinal and Johnny Perez of Morgan, Colorado. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Gabriel and Manuela Perez and Santiago and Guadalupe Cruz. A rosary will be held on Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Arnold Canales, Eric Hernandez, Arnold Villafranco, Johnny Enriquez, Ricky Luna and Juan Zamora. Honorary pallbearers will be Oscar "Scottie" Castaneda, Kiko Martinez, Robert Gaitan, Hando Lopez and Rene "Mouse" Garza.
