Garland Greer

Garland Lawrence Greer of Uvalde, passed away on April 10, 2012 in Bridgeport, Texas at the age of 91. Born Sept. 04, 1920 in Montell, TX. he was the oldest son of Walter Lee Jack Greer and Carrie Bell Jernigan Greer. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Lee Roy Greer, Norton Greer Ray Greer, sisters Roberta Greer Roberts, and Maxine Greer Gleason all of Uvalde, son Walter Lee Puggin Greer, stepson Rick Hadley and granddaughter Jenny Lynn Greer. He is survived by brother Elvis Duke Greer of Uvalde, TX, daughter Carolyn Huffman and husband Milton Huffman of Knippa, TX, daughter Linda McGregor and husband Bobby McGregor of Whitehouse, TX, daughter Jackie Campbell of Boerne, TX, daughter Janice Branch and husband Clint of Jacksboro, TX and daughter Sherry English of Carrizo Springs, TX, 18 grandchildren, 19 greatgrandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. He enjoyed coon hunting, retired from General Tire Rubber and later retired from the Uvalde Independent School District as a bus driver. Graveside services will be held on Saturday April 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery
