Gary Brooks

Gary Arthur Brooks of Uvalde passed away on August 2, 2010 in Main Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 72. He was born on June 30, 1938 in Midland, Michigan to Daniel Eugene and Lillian Helen Wilson Brooks. He married Olga Vasquez in Uvalde on July 20, 1991. He is survived by his wife of 19 years Olga Brooks of Uvalde, Texas one daughter Nadine G. Hood of Sorrento, Florida three stepdaughters Donna Gonzales of Beaumont, Texas Joy Gonzales Crone and husband, John, and Debbie Ann Wilson and husband, Don all of San Antonio, Texas two sons Kirk A Brooks and wife, Kathy of Richmond, Texas Daniel Brooks and wife, Jackie of Abilene, Texas three stepsons David Gonzales and companion, Rachel Guiterrez of San Antonio, Texas Daniel Gonzales and wife, Julie, and Valentin Garcia all of Uvalde, Texas twenty grandchildren eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Honorary pallbearers will be Juan Garcia, Clay Coleman, Gene Godin, James Hood, Ricky Brooks, Derek Gonzales, and Dustin Gonzales. A rosary will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 PM at RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 5, 2010 at 3:00 PM at RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Cremation under the direction of RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary.
