Gary Myles Hart, 79, of Sabinal died on Nov. 14 at Amistad Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Uvalde.
Paul Stephens will officiate the graveside service, set Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Sabinal Cemetery.
He was born in Sabinal on May 29, 1942, to Kathryn Ruth (Murphy) and Samuel Alton Hart on May 29, 1942.
He married Betty McQuatters on Sept. 17, 1966 in Leakey.
He owned several businesses in Sabinal, including Hart's Antiques and Mesquite Furniture.
His family said that, for over 30 years, he built hand-crafted custom furniture which many customers considered beautiful, and which is still enjoyed and appreciated in many homes.
He was a long-time member of the Leakey Church of Christ and the Sabinal Church of Christ.
He is survived by two sons, Bradley Hart and wife, Dallas, of Leakey and Shannon Hart and wife, Renee, of California; five grandchildren, Hailey Hart, Haden Hart, Karson Hart, Grace Ann Hart and Myles Hart; two nieces, Amelia Stayton and Mary Alice Jones, and husband, Jeff; great-nephew, Blake Stayton and wife, Ashley, and their children; and three great-nieces, Marlayna Winters and husband, Greg, Abby Jones, and Jordan Jones.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Gray Hart, on Sept. 9, 2013; his parents; and his sister, Karolen Baugh-Pate.
