George Cassin

alignjustifyGeorge Ann Cassin of Uvalde passed away on July 16, 2007 in Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 87. She was born on September 9, 1919. She married William Cassin in McAllen on April 22, 1944. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1994. She is survived by two daughters, Charlotte Cassin of Uvalde and Evelyn Sprott and husband, Hugh of Batesville; a brother-in-law, Ed Cassin of Batesville; two sisters-in-law, Storrow Sommer of Maryland and Eunice Dunn of Corpus Christi; four grandchildren, Shane Cassin; William Cassin; Shelby Sprott Arrington; and Shannon Sprott Cline; four great-grandchildren, Brianna Cassin; Meaghann Cassin; William Cassin; and Riley Arrington; and three nieces and three nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2007, at 10:00 AM at the 1st. United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Scott Bradford will officiate. Memorial donations may be made to the Methodist Church Building Fund, 301 N. High St. Uvalde, TX. 78801. Arrangements are by Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
