George Loney

George Monroe Loney of Uvalde passed away on November 21, 2009 at his residence at the age of 56. He was born on December 1, 1952 in Moberly, Missouri to Ralph and Delta Bradley Loney. He married Lisa Langford in Lubbock on July 30, 1982. He is survived by his wife of 27 years; three daughters, Erin Lane and husband, David; Katie Loney; and Meaghan Loney all of Uvalde; one son, Michael Loney and fiance, Ami Halfacre of Odessa; four sisters, Thesia Crooks of Libby, Montana; Eva Loney of Denver, CO; Susan English of Ransom Canyon, TX; and Lee Ann Loney of New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Troy Loney; and sister, Vanda Edwards. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Getty St. Church of Christ. Mr. King Burney will officiate. Cremation was under the direction of Rushig-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
