George Vaughn, Jr.

George F. Vaughn, Jr. of Brownwood passed away on July 12, 2015 at Care Inc. Nursing Center of Brownwood, Texas at the age 91. He was born on April 16, 1924 in East St. Louis, Illinois to George F. and Vera Mae Vaughn, Sr. He married Laura Mae Crouell in Uvalde on June 16, 1943. He is survived by daughters; Connie Jo Danley and husband Bob of Denton and Vicki Rae Vaughn of Brownwood; sister, Frieda Marie Davis of Phoenix, Az.; three grandchildren, Melody Re Pickle, Robert Austin Bynum and Ronald Vaughn Danley; three great-grandchildren, Megan Bynum, Skyler Re Bynum, and Asa Vaughn Pickle. He was preceded in death by his wife Laura Vaughn; brother, Donald G. Vaughn and sister, Shirley Mae Chambers. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 11:00 am at Rio Frio cemetery
