Georgia Eugenia Osburn, age 68, went home to the Lord Jesus on October 20, 2011 at her ranch in Concan, TX. She was born on November 7, 1942 in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Mary Eugenia Sampson and Richard John Nelson. She was raised in Thomasville, GA where she lived for 14 years. She has two brothers, Richard Nelson of Germany and Michael Nelson of Louisiana, and a sister, Gloria Dowda of San Antonio. She moved with her family to Montgomery, Alabama and graduated high school at Sidney Lanier High School in 1960. Georgia has three children, Michelle Anderson of San Antonio, Michael Englehart of Arlington, and Chandley Boman of Sulligent, AL, and seven grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. She retired in 1987 from Albertsons Food and Drug in San Antonio and continued to live on her ranch, El Starvo Ranch, just south of Concan. On August 8, 2002 she married Gerry Osburn in Raymond, MS. She was an active member of the Concan Baptist Mission and made many friends during her church activities and bible studies throughout the area. Georgia will be missed by the many that she came in contact with. There will be a viewing at the Concan Baptist Mission on Friday, October 28, 2011 from 6:009:00pm. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 11:00am in the Sabinal Cemetery. Pastor Willis Adair will officiate. In lieu of flowers, Georgia has requested that donations be made to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
