Geraldine Valunas

Geraldine Irwin Valunas known as Jerry, 93 passed away on January 26, 2009 in Uvalde, Texas at Amistad Nursing Home. She was born on December 16, 1915 to James Smith Irwin and Panola M. Irwin in Houston, Texas. Jerry was a long time resident of Deer Park, Texas before moving to Amistad Nursing Home.

Her husband Gene Valunas, known as Geno long time cook at the famous San Jacinto Inn, precedes Geraldine in death along with two sisters; Marjorie A. Irwin and Thelma Lynn Chesnar and her parents. She is survived nephew, Jim Chesnar, of Naalelu, Hawaii, long time friends and caregivers, formerly of Deer Park; Wayne Morris and wife Linda of Concan, Texas; and friend, Elizabeth Spikerman of Kamuela, Hawaii.
