Gilbert San Miguel, 54, of Lawton, Oklahoma, formerly of Uvalde; died on January 16, 2024, in Columbus, Ohio. 

 Visitation will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 11 a.m. followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.   A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment to follow at Uvalde Catholic Cemetery.  

 Gilbert was born on July 23, 1969, in Uvalde, Texas to Anavelia (Gonzales) and Carlos San Miguel.

 He lived in the Lawton, Oklahoma area for 20 years and was a member of the Catholic Church.  

 He is survived by his parents of Lawton, Oklahoma; daughter, Briann Bautista and husband, Arturo of Prinsburg, Minnesota; five sisters, Dora Contreras and husband, Jesus of Wichita Falls, Texas, Martha Chenault and husband, Fred of Garland, Texas, Sandra Quintana and husband, Jamie of Lawton, Oklahoma, Joann Chavez and husband, Jamie of San Angelo, and Jessica San Miguel of Lawton, Oklahoma, two brothers, Rudy San Miguel of Marshall, Minnesota and Nicholas San Miguel of Lawton, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Illiana Bautista, AJ Bautista, Layla Bautista and Aracely Bautista; and numerous nieces, and nephews remembering him as a fun and loving uncle. 

 Proceeded in the death by his brother, Carlos San Miguel, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 11 a.m. followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.   A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment to follow at Uvalde Catholic Cemetery.
