Gilberto Alvarado

Gilberto Alvarado of La Pryor passed away on March 26, 2010 in St. Lukes Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 73. He was born on July 22, 1936 in Beeville, Texas to Jesus and Francisca Alvarado. He married Maria Pargas on November 12, 1957 in La Pryor, Texas. He survived by his wife of 52 years Maria P. Alvarado of La Pryor, Texas two daughters Diana Alvarado of La Pryor,Texas Rosalinda Canales and husband Alejandro of Uvalde, Texas three sons Gilberto Alvarado Jr. of Ill. Ricardo Alvarado and wife Dalia of La Pryor, Texas Luis Alvarado and wife Valerie of San Antonio, Texas three sisters Hortencia Castro of La Pryor, Texas Angelina Alvarado of La Pryor, Texas Enriqueta Del Toro of Hereford, Texas one brother Salvador Alvarado of Crystal City, Texas eighteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Alvarado was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Roberto Alvarado and Luis Alvarado. A rosary will be held on Sunday March 28, 2010 at 7:00 PM at RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Monday March 29, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. Jospeh Catholic Church in La Pryor, Texas with burial to follow in La Pryor Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricardo Alvarado, Luis Alvarado, Alejandro Canales Sr., Alejandro Canales Jr., Benjamin Hernandez and Hector Ramos Jr., Gilberto Alvarado Jr. will serve as honorary pallbearer.
