Gilberto Arredondo

Gilberto A. Arredondo of Uvalde passed away on November 4, 2014 at Acuity Hospital of South Texas in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 86. He was born on August 10, 1928 in Uvalde to Octaviano and Juanita Aguilera Arredondo. He married Micaela Moreno in Uvalde on February 8, 1953. He is survived by daughter, Rachel A. GonzalesHanson and husband, Jimmy of Uvalde sons, Gilberto Arredondo Jr. and wife, Soroya of Leakey Lee Arredondo and companion, Diane Wooten of Uvalde and Pete Arredondo and wife Sofia of Laredo sisters, Aurora Ruiz of Uvalde, Dora Bernal of Winters, Alicia Reyes of Uvalde and Olga Diaz of Ft. Worth ten grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Micaela Arredondo son, Ray Arredondo parents, three brothers, Arnulfo Arredondo, Armando Arredondo and Octaviano Arredondo Jr. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 and Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 7:00 pm at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Uvalde Catholic Cemetery.
