Gilberto Garcia

Gilberto R. Garcia of Uvalde passed away on May 28, 2014 at Main Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 73. He was born on November 28, 1940 in Uvalde to Willie R. and Jesusita Reynosa Garcia. He married Beatrice Moreno on April 24, 1966 in Uvalde. He is survived by his wife of 48 years daughter Angelita Garza and husband Gilberto of Uvalde, sons Armando Garcia of Uvalde and Alberto Garcia and wife Margaret of San Antonio, sisters Olga Moreno of Uvalde and Dolores Garcia of Kansas, brothers Richard Garcia of Rockport and Arnold Garcia of Uvalde, grandchildren Michael Garcia, Gilberto Garza, Armando Garcia II, Roberto Garza, Gabriel Garza, Mya Garcia, Ava Garcia and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A rosary will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary at 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11:00 am. Burial will be held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio at a later date. Knights of Columbus members will be pallbearers.
