Gilberto Garcia Sr.

Gilberto C. Garcia Sr. of Uvalde passed away at Uvalde Memorial Hospital on Sunday November 27, 2011 at the age of 74. He was born on May 4, 1937 in Agua Dulce, Texas to Silvestre and Maria De Luz Carranza Garcia. He is survived by his wife Dolores Mojica Garcia, daughters, Irma Perez of San Antonio, Maria De La Luz Briseno, Martina Alvarez and husband Jesse Maria Eliza Martinez and husband David all of Uvalde, sons, Gilberto Garcia Jr. and wife Bertha Juan Garcia and wife Frances Eloy Garcia Martin Garcia Fidencio Garcia all of Uvalde 27 grandchildren, 44 greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Silvestre Garcia and greatgranddaughter, Zoe Madison Chapa. A rosary will be held on Monday November 28, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gilbert Garcia Jr., Juan Garcia, Fidencio Garcia, Martin Garcia, Jesse Alvarez and Juan Garcia.
