Gladys Schawe

Gladys Ruby Schawe of Uvalde passed away on August 20, 2009 in Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 98. She was born on January 24, 1911 in Dayton, Texas to Floyd and Pearl Barton. She married Martin William Schawe in Uvalde on December 18, 1946. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Martin William Schawe. A rosary will be held on Friday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Knippa Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Barry Balzen, Ricky Gembler, Lee Schawe, and Nick Fohn.
