Gloria Tames

Gloria De la Rosa Tames of Uvalde passed away on July 14, 2009 in Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 71. She was born on February 17, 1938 in Musquiz, Mexico to Casimiro and Sara De la Rosa. She married Uvaldo Tames in La Pryor, Texas on March 5, 1979. She is survived by her husband of 30 years Uvaldo Tames of Uvalde, Texas; one daughter; Dolores De la Rosa of Austin, Texas; two sons; Genaro De la Rosa and Earl Stanley Lennon both of Uvalde, Texas; four sisters; Carmela Hernandez of Uvalde, Texas; Julia Gutierrez of Mexico; Ramona Sanchez of Eagle Pass, Texas; and Elida Romero of Reynosa, Mexico; seventeen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son; Casimiro De la Rosa Muniz; brother; Irineo De La Rosa; and sister; Olivia Menchaca. A rosary will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Earl Lennon, Genaro De la Rosa, Richard Tames, Juan Canizallez, Victor Banillo, and Tony Ruiz Jr..
