Gloria Ybarra

Gloria L. Ybarra of Uvalde passed away on August 4, 2008 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 85. She was born on November 24, 1922 in Sabinal, Texas to Ysa and Luisa Ybarra. She is survived by two daughters; Olga Luna and husband, Omero of Corpus Christi, Texas; and Norma Gayoso and husband Leon of Poteet, Texas; two sons; Arturo Y. Arriola of Uvalde, Texas; and Miguel Arriola and wife, Bertha of Uvalde, Texas; five sisters; Manuela Ramirez of San Antonio, Texas; Julia Cardona, Petra Flores, Leticia Grant and Simplicia Ybarra all of Uvalde, Texas; three brothers; Gumecindo Ybarra and Alonzo Ybarra both of Uvalde, Texas; and Moses Ybarra of Sabinal, Texas; twenty-three grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; Josefa Lara and Maria Valdez; and one brother; Felipe Ybarra , and one great grandchild.A rosary will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Father Wieslaw Iwaniec will officiate. Pallbearers will be Michael Arriola, John Paul Reyes, Moses Arriola, Lonnie Gayoso, and Mario Gonzales.
