Goldwyn Pierce

Goldwyn Elizabeth Pierce of Pearsall, formerly of Uvalde, passed away on October 4, 2011 at University Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 89. She was born on March 7, 1922 to Robert Frank and Laura Elizabeth Jones Russell in Uvalde. She married Milton Steve Pierce on June 6, 1942 in Uvalde. She is survived by her husband of 69 years daughters, Jean Elizabeth Batot of Austin and Patti Johnson of Friendswood, Texas grandchildren, Marcy Willmann, Holly Pierce and Joshua Donald Harrison greatgrandchildren, Taylor Lowell Pierce, Mitchell Cannon Pierce, Alexandra Noel Pierce, Genavieve Pierce, Trad Willmann, Jett Willmann, Joshua Donald Harrison II and Rylee Brooke Harrison. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Robert Frank Russell and greatgrandchild Sutton Stone Pierce. Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 8, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Uvalde Cemetery.
