Gregorio Briones

Gregorio Rios Briones of La Pryor passed away on January 26, 2016 in Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 82. He was born on January 4, 1934 in Crystal City to Macedono Briones and Elodia Rios Briones. He is survived by his wife, Tomasa "Maria" Briones of La Pryor; four daughters, Bertha Alicia Noonan of Uvalde, Elodia Martinez and husband, Roberto of Big Spring, TX, Lidia Hernandez and husband, Juan Manuel of Uvalde; and Patricia Nevarez and husband, Evaristo of Camp Wood; six sons, Johnny Briones and Jorge Briones, both of Uvalde, Jesus Briones of Littlefield, Fidencio Briones and wife, Victoria and Preciliano Briones, all of La Pryor, and Jose Briones of San Antonio; seven sisters, Maria Inez Rodriguez, Luisa Villanueva, and Victoria Trevino, all of Littlefield, Trini Campos and Margarita Posada both of Crystal City, Josefa Sanchez of Michigan, and Rosa Aguirre of Cleburne; brother, Lupe Briones of Michigan; 24 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Preciliano Briones; and sister, Maya Trevino. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
