Gregorio Martinez

Gregorio A. Martinez, Sr. of Knippa passed away on October 7, 2015 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 86. He was born May 25, 1929 in Villa De Fuente, Coahuila, Mexico to Ramon and Juanita (Amaya) Martinez. He is survived by daughters; Maria Virginia Perdomo and Margarita M. Garcia both of Knippa, Micaela Salas and husband Robert and Lurdez Guajardo both of Wichita Falls and Maria Concepcion Jespen and husband Curtis of Little Rock, Arkansas; son, Gregorio Martinez, Jr. and wife Sheila of North Carolina; two sisters and one brother; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife Maria Estella Salinas Martinez and second wife, Nicanora Mendoza Martinez; parents; brother, Juan Martinez and sister, Francisca Ruiz. A chapel service will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 10:00 am at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Knippa. Pallbearers will be Gregorio Martinez, Jr., Jason Martinez, Sam Martinez, Manny Salas, Jose Martinez and Eito Martinez.
