Gregorio Martinez

Gregorio Martinez of Uvalde passed away on May 20, 2013 at the Metropolitan Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 56. He was born on February 11, 1957 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Candido and Jenoveva Lopez Martinez. He married Yvonne Gaytan on May 23, 1981 in Junction. He is survived by his wife of 31 years daughter, Cynthia Martinez of San Antonio, son, Gregorio Martinez II of Uvalde sisters, Gloria Martinez Lopez and ConRada Martinez Lopez both of San Luis Potosi, Mexico brothers, Juan Jose Martinez of Donna, Salamon Martinez of Nixon, Simon Martinez, Hector Martinez and Guivaldo Martinez all of San Luis Potosi, Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Juan Jose Martinez, Hector Martinez, Guivaldo Martinez, Juan Antonio Ramirez, Austin Cleary and Tom Salinas
