Gregorio Pargas

Gregorio Pargas of La Pryor passed away on March 26, 2016 in Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 84. He was born on November 28, 1931 in D'Hanis to Bernardo Pargas and Leocadia Bermea Pargas. He married Rebecca Cervantez in Uvalde on October 7, 1953. He is survived by his wife of 62 years; four sons, Gregorio Rogelio Pargas, Alejandro Pargas, and Gustavo Pargas all of La Pryor, and Enrique Pargas of Eagle Pass; two daughters, Francisca "Frenchy" Fonseca of Canyon Lake and Connie Sauceda of San Antonio; two sisters, Guadalupe Casarez of Eagle Pass and Maria Alvarado of La Pryor; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Daniel Pargas; three brothers, Bentura Pargas, Ramon Pargas, and Mariano Pargas; and three sisters, Elvira Rangel, Monica Najera, and Leonor Pargas. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 1:00 pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in La Pryor with burial to follow in La Pryor Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alejandro Pargas, Jr., Roy Pargas, Jr., Santos Vera III, David Vera, Manny Sauceda III, and Brandon Pargas.
