Guadalupe Aguirre

Guadalupe M. Aguirre of Uvalde passed away at Amistad Nursing Home on January 27, 2013 at the age of 86. She was born on February 10, 1926 in Sabinal, Texas to Cayetano and Maria Cortinas Martinez. She is survived by her daughters, Bertha Maldonado and husband Luis of Greeley, Colorado, Elia Talavera and husband Hector, Guadalupe A. Ybarra, Beatrice Alvarez and husband Jose, Natalia Garcia all of Uvalde, Patricia Hernandez and Alma Lira and husband Juan Carlos both of San Antonio son, Victor Aguirre and wife Patricia stepdaughter, Mary Helen Flores and husband Simon of Uvalde 28 grandchildren 58 great grandchildren, 18 greatgreat grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Marcos Hernandez Aguirre, daughter, Gloria Aguirre and grandson, Jesse James Polanco. A rosary will be held on Monday and Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Uvalde Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Vicente Aguirre, Juan Carlos Lira, Hector Talavera III, David Polanco, Simon Alvarez and Laura Flores.
