Guadalupe Deleon, Jr.

Guadalupe DeLeon, Jr. of Uvalde passed away on December 25, 2020 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 77.  He was born on January 2, 1943 in Montell, Texas to Guadalupe and Rafaela (Carabajal) DeLeon, Sr.

He married Rosalinda Castro in Uvalde March 8, 1970.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rosalinda De Leon of Uvalde, Texas; daughters, Denise Arispe and husband, Chente, of Sonora, Texas, Lydia Woodbury and husband, Dean of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Dorothy  DeLeon and companion, Paul Roller of Lohn, Texas, Edna Gonzalez and husband, Unberto of Houston, Texas, Esmeralda Gonzalez and husband, Ismael of San Antonio, Texas, Raquel De Leon of Uvalde, Shelly Cruz and companion, Mario Rojas of San Antonio, Texas and Liza Marie Diaz of San Antonio, Texas; son, Javier De Leon and companion, Luisa Garcia of Uvalde, Texas; sisters, Lupe Falcon, Maria Aguero, Yolanda Aguero, Paubla Moncivais and Gloria Hernandez all of Campwood, Texas; brothers, Levorio DeLeon and Rey DeLeon both of Campwood , Texas; 23 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and son, Guadalupe C. "Tres" De Leon III.; in laws, Jose and Elisa Castro; and brothers, Felix DeLeon, Cruz DeLeon, Theodoro DeLeon; sisters, Tomasa Mendoza, Amada Diaz, Modesta DeLeon Balderas and Lucy Tobar;

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7:30 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Campwood, Texas. Interment will follow at Campwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chente Arispe, Ismael Gonzalez, Paul Roller, Chantel Arispe, Jennifer Gonzalez, Cesar Gonzalez, Dean Woodbury, and Mario Rojas.
