Guadalupe Gonzales

Guadalupe P. Gonzales of Uvalde passed away on April 4, 2017 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 92. She was born on July 1, 1924 in Poteet, Texas to Daniel and Martina (Aranda) Perez. She married Salvador Gonzales on July 26, 1946 in Uvalde.
She is survived by daughters, Lupe Alvarez, Sylvia G. Schaefer, and Lisa G. Trevino all of Uvalde; sons, Arnulfo P. Gonzales of Lubbock, Jose Enrique P. Gonzales, Francisco P. Gonzales, Armando P. Gonzales all of Uvalde; brother, Gregorio Perez of Eagle Pass; 30 grandchildren; 74 great grandchildren; 25 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Maria Elva G. Garcia; sons, Salvador P. Gonzales, Jr., Raynaldo P. Gonzales; sister, Senobia Ramirez; great grandson, Isaiah Ray Aguilar; and son in law, Mike Schaefer.
A rosary will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be, David Vela, Jr., Arnulfo Gonzales, Jr. , Felix Alvarez, Jr., Johnny Garcia, Jr., Jose Luis Gonzales, Salvador Gonzales, Jr., Carlos Mendoza, Jose Gonzales, Jr., and Josue Gonzales.
