Guadalupe Garcia Guzman, 64, was born October 20, 1949 in Hamlin, Texas
to Thomas and Esther Guzman. He passed away June 11, 2014 in Denver City,
Texas.
Mr. Guzman worked as a machinist in the oil field. He was employed with
Cactus Drilling, and Bull Rogers. He enjoyed his family time. He loved old cars,
horses, and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved placing friendly sports bets with
his friends. In high school he was a very avid sportsman.
Mr. Guzman is survived by his wife, Virginia four sons, Mark and Sherrie Dunn
of Wichita Falls, Texas, Ted Guzman of Hobbs, Eric and Rachel Pulliam of Hobbs,
and Preston Pulliam of San Antonio, Texas three daughters, Lynda Enriquez of
Hobbs, Jennifer Rhines of Hobbs, and Laura and Garrett Riley of San Antonio,
Texas four brothers, Santiago Guzman, Jose Guzman, Enrique Guzman, all of
Uvalde, Texas, and Raymond Guzman of Wichita Falls, Texas and one sister, Amy
Blanco of San Antonio, Texas twenty grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren.
Guadalupe was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday June 13, 2014 at Chapel of Hope
Funeral Home, Hobbs, New Mexico. Funeral services are planned for 11:00 a.m.
Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Chapel of Hope. Graveside services are planned for
11:00 a.m. Monday, June 16, 2014 at Hillcrest Cemetery, Uvalde, Texas.
