Guadalupe I. Lopez of Uvalde passed away on May 6, 2014 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 95. She was born on May 21, 1918 in Hondo, Texas to Alfredo and Anita Balenzuela Ibarra. She married Rodolfo V. Lopez. She is survived by her daughters, Alicia Lopez, Alida Lopez both of Uvalde and Ana L. Martinez of San Antonio sons, Rudy Lopez and wife Adelaida and Roberto Lopez and wife Maryann all of Houston sister, Janie Vijarro of Zillah, Washington 10 grandchildren 10 great grandchildren 1 greatgreat grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents husband sister, Mary Helen Rodriguez and brother, Santiago Ibarra. A rosary will be held on Thursday and a vigil on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rudy Lopez, Johnnie Lopez, Robert Lopez, Joseph Lopez, Ernest Martinez Jr., and Edmundo Castillon. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Martinez, Samuel Martinez, Matthew Lopez and Ernesto Salazar.
