Guadalupe Lopez

Guadalupe M. Lopez of Uvalde passed away on February 8, 2023 at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 89. She was born on January 8, 1934 to Manuela (Valadez) and Fidencio Medina.

She is survived by her five daughters, Martha Gallego and husband, Richard of San Antonio, Rosa Almanza of St. Cloud, Minnesota, Emma Guadalupe Rodriguez and husband, Miguel of Eagle Pass and Carolina Serna and husband, Ernest of Castroville, Mary Cruz of Beaumont; six sons, Hector M. Lopez and wife, Janie of San Antonio, Eddie Lopez and wife, Maggie, Juan Felipe Lopez and wife, Yadira, Ricardo Javier Garcia all of Uvalde, Mariano Garcia of Piedras Negras and Cesar Garcia of Uvalde; 18 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Lopez, two sons, Frank Lopez, Jr. and Juan Antonio Garcia; brothers, Ricardo Garcia and Felix Medina; and son in law, Ramon Almanza.

Visitation will begin on Monday, February 13, 2023, at 1 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Lopez, Jr., Justin A. Lopez, Jonathan Valenzuela, Joseph Valenzuela, Ricky Garcia, Jr., Christian Garcia, Marky Lopez, and Frank Lopez, III.
