Guadalupe Martinez

Guadalupe G. Martinez Sr. of Knippa passed away at San Antonio Military Center on January 23, 2013 at the age of 80. He was born on December 29, 1932 in Mexico to Ignacio and Casimira Gomez Martinez. He is survived by her daughters, Delia Martinez of San Antonio and Guadalupe Lopez of Eagle Pass sons, Guadalupe Martinez Jr. and wife Ludivina of Knippa and Reynaldo Martinez and wife Catalina of Menard sisters, Amparo Alonzo of Talpa, Matilde Hernandez of Boise, Idaho, Juana Delgadillo of Coleman, Clofas Garcia of Mexico brothers, Ignacio Martinez Jr. of Eagle Pass and Perfecto G. Martinez of Port Arthur, 17 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alejandra M. Martinez, parents, granddaughter, Brenda Martinez, brothers, Juan Martinez and Antonio Martinez. A rosary will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013 at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Knippa. Burial will follow at the Knippa Catholic Cemetery.
