Guadalupe Camacho

Guadalupe R. Camacho of Sabinal passed away on September 23, 2019 in Sabinal at the age of 96.  She was born on July 23, 1923 in D’Hanis, Texas to Jacinto and Sapopa (Porter) Rodriguez.

She is survived by her daughters, Sofia Leos of Sabinal, Maggie Perez of Arizona and Helen Vallejo of Rio Grande Valley; sons, Edward Camacho and wife, Carmen of Fredericksburg, Richard Camacho and wife, Carmen of Arizona, and Ruben Camacho of Sabinal; sisters, Carmen Alvarado of Sabinal, Martina Torres of Sabinal, Ninfa Martinez of Utah, Zenieda Arredondo of Idaho, 35 grandchildren; 99 great grandchildren and 24 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; children, Jesse Camacho, Adelita Camacho and Rosalina Camacho; sisters, Eva Rodriguez, Maria Leos, and Ignacia Alvarado; brothers, Jacinto Rodriguez, Jr. and Jesus Rodriguez; great granddaughters, Dominika Castaneda and Michelle Camacho.

A rosary will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Sabinal.  A funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 27, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sabinal. Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.

Pallbearers will be Federico Aviles, Fernando Leos, Sean Martinez, Ruben Camacho, Edward Camacho and Robert Camacho.
