Guadalupe Salazar

Guadalupe Lupe Salazar of La Pryor passed away on November 27, 2013 at his residence at the age of 71. He was born on April 22, 1942 in La Pryor to Eduardo and Ramona Gonzales Salazar and he was raised by his grandparents, Antonio and Felipa Gonzales. He married Nelia Rodriguez in La Pryor on September 2, 1959. He is survived by his wife of 54 years daughters, Ramona Mona Cano and husband, Ramon T., Jr. of Uvalde Annette Bermea and husband, Isaac of La Pryor and Zannette Hernandez and husband, Steve of Corpus Christi sons, Albert Salazar and wife, Polly Michael Salazar and wife, Gena, all of La Pryor and Ricky Salazar and wife, Wendy of Corpus Christi brothers, Edmundo Salazar and wife, Frances and Ernesto Salazar and wife, Irma, all of La Pryor Emilio Salazar and wife, Maria of Clute and Abel Salazar and wife, Luisa of Colorado and a grandson that he raised, A.J. Salazar and wife, Jodi of La Pryor 17 grandchildren 6 greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents grandparents brothers, Eduardo Salazar, Jr. and Raul Salazar brotherinlaw, Arnoldo Rodriguez and sistersinlaw, Alicia Gonzales and Sylvia Magdaleno. A rosary will be held on Saturday at 7:00 PM and a vigil on Sunday at 7:00 PM at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 11:00AM at St. Josephs Catholic Church in La Pryor. Burial will follow in La Pryor Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Arnold Salazar Ramiro Salazar Cy Salazar Emilio Salazar Peter Salazar A.J. Salazar John Palacios and Abraham Salazar.
