Gustavo Lugo

Gustavo Gus Montalvo Lugo of Uvalde passed away on September 4, 2008 in Methodist Main Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 74. He was born on June 30 1934 in Cline, Texas to Eusebio and Eloisa Lugo. He is survived by one daughter; Sylvia Lugo of Denver, Colorado; six sons; Jerry Lugo and wife, Geraldine of Santa Fe, New Mexico; Gustavo Lugo Jr.and wife, Meyer of Orange Park, Florida; Roberto Lugo of Las Vegas, New Mexico; Jose Lugo and wife, Denise of East Chicago, Indiana; Richard Lugo and wife, Rosa of San Antonio, Texas; and Edward Lugo of Uvalde, Texas; two sisters; Rosa Canales; and Elizabeth Lugo both of Uvalde, Texas; three brothers; Ruben Lugoand wife, Audrey and Eliazar Lee Lugo and wife, Maria all of Uvalde, Texas; and Eliseo Sonny Lugo and wife, Rebecca of Hartford, Wisconsin; fifteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; Alma Costilla Rangel and Esperanza Hope Cano. A prayer service will be held on Friday and Saturday at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at 3:00 PM at Templo Cristiano with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Brother Eddie DeLaRosa will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Jerry Lugo, Jose Lugo, Eliseo Sonny Lugo, Eleazar Lee Lugo, Ruben Lugo, and Anastacio Gonzales.
