Harold Clayton, Sr.

Harold R. Clayton, Sr. of Palacios, TX passed away on October 2, 2009 in Halletsville, TX at the age of 87. He was born on April 4, 1922 in Vanderpool to A.W. and Lola Clayton. He married Lillie Orene Schaefer in Uvalde on June 25, 1950. She preceded him in death in 2001. He is survived by a daughter, Lola Greak and husband, Jerry of Rock Island, TX; son, Harold R. Clayton, Sr. and wife, Cindy of Casper, WY; three sisters, Addie Jane Chaney and Leota Hosman, both of Utopia; and Cora Cochran of Salem, Arkansas; one brother, Finis Clayton of Utopia; two grandchildren, Amanda Greak and Donna Estlinbaun; four great-grandchildren, Samantha and Donald Bryant; Dalton Estlinbaun; and Anthony James; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two brothers; and two sisters. Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 5, 2009, at 10:00 AM in Hillcrest Cemetery. Mr. Jerry Greak will officiate.
