Helen Mcmains

Helen Bookout Morris McMains of Uvalde passed away on November 8, 2012 at her residence at the age of 84. She was born on January 1, 1928 in Crystal City, TX to Calvin Thomas and Onice Mae Brown Bookout. She married Marvin Morris on January 1, 1949. He preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 1994. She then married Marion McMains on March 23, 1999. He preceded her in death on August 16, 2000. Helen was a member of the Red Hat Society and Athena Club, and was active in her Sunday School class at First Baptist Church. She had lived in Uvalde for the past 14 years. She is survived by two sons, Roger Michael Morris and wife, Carolyn of Pleasanton and Charles Patrick Morris and wife, Gaye of Uvalde five grandchildren, Shane Morris and wife, Gaye Amy Ross and husband, Shon Mason Liebau and wife, Nicole Beth Downing and husband, Marlowe and Sarah McQuown and husband, Jeremy 9 greatgrandchildren, Aiden and Kate Ross Jackson and Owen Liebau Noah, Oliver, and Joan Downing and Sophia and Newton McQuown stepson, Butch McMains and wife, Kay of Uvalde and stepdaughter, Phyllis Knouse of San Antonio. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the First Baptist Church in Uvalde with burial to follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Crystal City, TX. Pallbearers will be Mike Morris Pat Morris Shane Morris Mason Liebau Butch McMains Patrick Crawford Scott Bookout and Irl Van Cleve. Memorial donations may be made to the Uvalde Adult Activity Center.
