Henry Dicke

Henry George Dicke of Knippa passed away on January 26, 2009 at the age of 62. He was born on February 27, 1946 in Knippa to the late Herman H. and M. Susie Langner Dicke. George was raised in the Lutheran Church. He worked for 20 years for the Hays County Sheriffs Dept. as a Corrections Officer. George is survived by his former wife, Sandra Dicke of Inez, TX; sons, Hank Dicke of Knippa and Brandon Dicke and wife, Carri of Yoakum; step-son, Charlie Davis and wife Priscella of Knippa; sister, Glee Davis and former husband, Charles Davis of Cuero; four grandchildren and three step-grandchildren, Danielle and Dustin Dicke of Knippa; Ashlyn and Gage Dicke of Yoakum; Trenton and Trevor Davis of Knippa; and Nathan McAnear of Sabinal; and numerous cousins, family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Herman Dan and Edwin Dicke. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2009, at 10:00 AM at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel in Uvalde with burial to follow in the Knippa Cemetery. Bro. Michael Seay of Yoakum will officiate. Pallbearers will be Louis Dicke; Charles Newman; Leland Falkenberg, Sgt. Roy Strahan; Cpl. Sam Courtney; Major Brad Robinson; Dale Cocita; and Gerald Simpson. Honorary pallbearers will be Bernie Brinson and Randy Schuster, . Memorials may be made to Accolade Hospice 877-293-9099 of Yoakum for their great care and support during his time of need. George was loved by all that knew him and will be deeply missed.
