Henry Sanchez

Henry A. Sanchez, of Uvalde passed away on June 5, 2015 at the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 81. He was born on September 28, 1933 in San Antonio to Enrique and Rosa (Algueseva) Cadena. He married Carmen Torres in Uvalde on January 27, 1952. He is survived by his daughter, Lolly Sanchez of Floresville; sons, Henry Sanchez Jr. and wife Josie of Pleasanton and Frank Sanchez and wife Pat; sisters, Susan Barrera, Deborah Brandt and Alice Gilley all of San Antonio; 14 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Carmen T. Sanchez, son George Sanchez; sisters, Diane Escobedo, Elaine Pace and Sandra Keyland. A rosary will be held on Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be held at Uvalde Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tito Guevara, Adrian James Sanchez, Jimmy Sanchez, Henry Sanchez III, Rick Sanchez, Franco Sanchez, T.Y. Guevara, and Marcos Javier Garcia.
