Hepolito Polo Vasquez of Uvalde passed away on Tuesday January 31, 2012 at Methodist Stone Oak in San Antonio at the age of 75. He was born on August 30, 1936 in Batesville, Texas to Tomas and Maria Prado Vasquez. He married Maria Vasquez on May 8, 1954 in Uvalde. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, daughter, Brenda Lee De La Garza and James McBeain of Willmar, Minnesota, sons, Tony Vasquez and Joann Sanchez, Jerry Vasquez and Samantha Silva and Daniel Vasquez all of Uvalde, sisters, Esperanza Olvedo of Uvalde and Estella Martinez of Marshall, Minnesota, brothers, Geno Vasquez of Columbus, Georgia Tomas Vasquez Jr. and wife Maria of Greeley Colorado Ramon Vasquez and Roy Vasquez and wife Dora both of Uvalde, grandchildren, Jeanette Rocha, Lynn Vasquez, Carolyn Trevino, Chris Trevino, Greg Abrego, Tony Vasquez Lara, Desiree Vasquez Morales, Vanessa Gonzales, Rudy Gonzales Jr., Leevonne De La Garza, Sasha De La Garza, Ivy De La Garza, Krystal Vasquez, Daniel Vasquez, Dayton Vasquez, Monique Vasquez and Albert Elizondo, 24 greatgrandchildren, 1 greatgreat grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Martin Vasquez, sisters, Marines Perez and Paula Rodriguez and greatgranddaughter, Monique Rocha. A rosary will be held on Thursday February 2, 2012 and Friday February 3, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 4, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Trevino, Tony Vasquez, Rudy Gonzales, Albert Elizondo, Marcos Rocha, Lupe Rangel and Lynn Vasquez Maldonado. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Olvedo, Rusty Rodriquez, Simon Vasquez, Juan Aleman and Robe Aleman.
