Herbert Toone

Mr. Herbert Hoover Herb Toone of Uvalde passed away in Uvalde, Tx. on September 10, 2007 at the age of 88.

He was born on January 3, 1919 in Forreston, Tx. to John Paralee Toone.

He is survived by one daughter, Sally Toone Banks husband, Jim of Uvalde, Tx.; three sons, Robert Earl Toone wife, Donni of Moneta, Va.; Thomas Lee Toone wife, Jane of Scottsdale, Ariz.; David Brian Toone wife, Martha of Sugarland, Tx.; brother, James B. Toone of Pecos, Tx.; 10 grandchildren, Robin Toone; Jennifer Rentch husband, Darren; Thomas Lee Toone, Jr wife, Kylie.; Kevin Jen Toone; Jennifer Tate; Ashley Tate; Sarah Lyn Banks; Jason James Banks; Tyndall Colin Toone; Kathlyn Toone; 3 great-granddaughters, Tyler Toone; Mariah Toone Findlay Toone.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Kathlyn Collins Toone one brother, Billy Dale Toone, Sr.

Mr. Toone served in the Army-Air Corps from December 1943 until April 1946. He served in the South Pacific theatre on Saipan Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima.

Services will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Scott will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Robert Earl Toone, Sr.; Thomas Lee Toone, Sr.; David Brian Toone; Robert Earl Toone, Jr.; Thomas Lee Toone, Jr.; Jason Banks; Jim Banks; Colin Toone James B. Toone. Honorary pallbearers are all the many friends he had made over the years.

Memorials may be made to Uvalde Hospice, 1038-B Garner Field Road, Uvalde, TX 78801, or the charity of ones choice.
